Jack Jones – A Jack Jones Christmas
Hello – and a very warm welcome to my blog. Please don’t be shy about adding comments. I love to read other people’s thoughts on things. My blog began as part of a philosophy module at university, called ‘Being Bad’. The purpose was to examine the meaning of ‘bad’ behaviour. The course has finished but my interest in blogging hasn’t. I’m a wannabe writer with a degree in English and Creative Writing from a university in the West Midlands.

I'm so sorry for your loss, Sue.
Thanks Blossom.
Losing a much loved pet is a very sad thing.
It is indeed. I lost my boxer, Jasmin, in 2000. I found out I was pregnant with Niles on the Friday and Jasmin died the following Monday from a collapsed bladder, a side effect from her treatment for skin cancer. I still miss her, exasperating and naughty as she was, because, as with all dogs, she had no agenda; what you saw was what you got- a seething ball of naughtiness, joy and affection.
I'm a born worrier but both of my dogs have shown me that you don't have to earn the right to happiness or love, that you can just enjoy a moment because you are there, living it. And a dog's affection and devotion is unwavering and humbling and a privilege to receive.
Your Curney sounds like he was a lovely character who brought an awful lot of pleasure to your life.
He did - thanks for that
Sorry to read that Sue. Take comfort in the fact that he had a long and enjoyable life :)
Thanks Ewar
