I hope you and your family have a really lovely day together.<br /><br />Unfortunately, bad things happen every day - a few we hear about but the vast majority we don't. Without meaning to seem flippant, I'd like to point something out to you.<br /><br />For lots of people, 9/11 is a day to remember for the tragic loss of life. But for your parents, for the last how many years, it has been a day to celebrate the beginning of a new life, yours. Birthdays are an opportunity for our friends, children and parents to spoil us, to show us just how loved we are by them.
